The Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) Registry has provided an update on changes to obligations for solar agents, retailers, installers, and designers effective from 1st April 2022.
Changes for AGENTS
In order to claim small-scale technology certificates (STCs), from 1 April 2022 you must obtain:
- A new written statement from your designers
- An updated written statement from your installer, and
- A new written statement from your solar retailer.
CHANGES FOR solar retailers
From 1 April 2022, there is a new requirement for solar retailers to provide their agent with a written statement including information on the installer and the system. More information about these requirements can be found on the Clean Energy Regulator (the agency website), as well as a sample form for retailers indicating the information that will need to be provided to their agent.
